James Joseph Ellison

 Family

• Father: William Ellison - A rich businessman who forced little Jimmy (I love to call him this...) to suppress his Sentinel abilities. Jim left home at an early age.
• Mother: Grace (?)- Left home when Jim and Stephen were still young.
  Sally, the maid/housekeeper, raised the boys after the leaving of their mother. It's not said, if the mother is dead or not.
• Younger Brother: Stephen Ellison - betrayed Jim while they were teenagers. They got together again in "Brother's Keeper"
• Cousin: Rucker Ellison, a Coast Guard lighthouse keeper. Appeared in "Storm Warning"
• Ex-wife: Carolyn Plummer, was the leader of the Cascade P.D. Technical Support Group. Later she left Cascade.

His time in the Army

• Rank: US Army Captain.
  US Army Rangers, Covert Ops.
  Survived an army helicopter crash in Peru. He was presumed dead and was stranded alone for 18 months in the jungle. In those 18 months he lived together with the Chopec, a Native Indian tribe in Peru.
  

The Police 

• Current status: Detective of the Major Crimes Unit of the Cascade PD.
• Previous: Vice 
  His original partner at Major Crimes: Jack Pendergrast
• Jim has the best Case Record in Cascade. Was honored as Officer of the Year

Miscellaneous Information:

• Worked as a medic (no specific dates).
• Favorite Food: Egg Fu Yong (even for breakfast); he loves Junk Food (candy bars, Hot Dogs, pizza, Mexican food, Donuts, Wonder Burger, prune danish...). He hates Pineapple. Jim seems to love foreign food, like Cuban cuisine, Sushi or the Chinese Cuisine.
• Phobias: Fear of deep water, when out of sight of land.
• likes the music of Santana; loves to fish and to play basketball; likes the show "Bonanza"
  

Blair Sandburg

Family

• Father: unknown

• Mother: Naomi Sandburg, a flower child

• Has an uncle (maternal), who drives semi-trucks. Blair spent one summer with him "on road".

• His cousin Robert is a bookie.

Education

• currently working on his Ph.D. in Anthropology

• minored in Psychology

Miscellaneous Information

• Phobias: Fear of height 
• worked as a welder in a sheet metal plant for two summers. Was the 'Fastest torch on his crew'. ("Dead Drop")
• Food: He likes boiled tongue; eats "weird" food; has an algae shake every morning for breakfast; Blair hates sauerkraut
• likes to go fishing (with a fishing spear *g*) and to play basketball 
• there's a big discussion about whether he has a nipple ring or not (began after the ep "Cypher" was aired)

• Current status: Captain of the Major Crimes Unit.
• His boss is Chief of Police Warren.
